Do not select a rod by price alone
Electrode suitability depends on the design, soil resistivity, installation depth, corrosion exposure, fault-current duty and the connections made to the rest of the earthing system. A rod’s product description by itself cannot guarantee a specific earth-resistance reading.
Where a specification gives a particular standard or coating requirement, the offered item and supporting documents should be checked against that requirement. Do not assume a single coating thickness, length or resistance result applies to every project.
Rod, conductor and chamber are one package
For a complete BOQ, confirm whether the scope also includes GI or copper strip, clamps, couplers, test links, inspection chambers, earthing compound and labels or test documentation. A mismatch between rod threads, couplers, clamps and conductor sizes can create avoidable site delays.
Request a project-specific quote
Send the required rod dimensions, quantity, connection details, standard or datasheet, delivery city and required date. If the rod is part of a solar, industrial or substation project, mention the application so related components can be reviewed together.
Frequently asked questions
What rod size should I use?
Use the dimensions specified by the design or project BOQ. Selection depends on site conditions and the overall earthing design; we should not guess a size from the application name alone.
Can you provide test reports?
Documentation is checked against the exact offered product and the purchaser’s requirements. Tell us which certificates or reports the RFQ requires.
Will a copper-bonded rod guarantee low resistance?
No single rod guarantees a fixed site resistance. Soil conditions, electrode arrangement, installation quality and the full earthing design affect measured performance.
